Danita Branam


Danita Branam recently joined the Business Process Services Unit as a vice president at BNY Mellon. Previously, she provided independent consulting addressing workflow optimization, application conversion and process integration for leading financial institutions. Branam also served as a managing director for iGate Corporation and Symphoni International, LLC, and as Director of Finance & Administration at New Brunswick Theological Seminary.

Branam has volunteered as board chair of Middle Collegiate Church for 7 years, as Chair of the Middle Church Heal The Soul/Heal The World social justice team, chair of the Collegiate Board Financial Planning Committee, and currently as chair of the Governing Board of Intersections International. She developed a free Sunday brunch program distributed in Tompkins and Union Square parks. Branam is a coach to Posse Foundation scholarship recipients, having completed 25 consecutive semesters coaching 700 inner city youth through the All Stars Project. She participated in The Joseph A. Forgione Development School for Youth, which introduces inner city youth to the corporate business environment. In 2005, Branam received a national Points of Light Award, and in 2009 a Community Service Award from the NY Chapter of the National Black MBA Association. Branam received a B.A. from New York University in science and psychology.
